Flic Wilson shows
Hello I’m Flic, I do the folk show, Folk with Flic!
I am fairly new to Weston, I moved here when I got married and like it very much! When I’m not on Wave, I work in a folk music shop in Bristol, teach violin and piano and practice fiddle and harp.
You can find out more at flicsounds.com! Folk with Flic Folk with Flic happens every Thursday at 6pm. You can join Flic for a mixture of traditional folk as well as music from around the world. It’s a fun and informative show for anyone with an eclectic love of music!
Community radio is a passion of Flic’s since she ‘fell into’ it in 2011, with a government funded job at Lancaster’s community radio station, Diversity Fm.
Unsure what to do next, she did a masters in Radio production at Bournemouth university. After attempting to find her feet in radio land didn’t work out, she turned back to her first love, community radio.
From there she has volunteered at: Hope Fm, BCfm, Radio for NewWine and now Wave. Flic loves community radio because it’s about community, she started ‘Folk with Flic’ during lockdown to provide folk lovers with some joy and folksy-ness!
